- Yahuweh - the Only True Savior

Question:   Since God Almighty, Yahuweh says there is NO Savior besides  Him, and  Yahoshua, the Messiah,  is also called a Savior doesn't this mean Yahoshua is God Almighty, or at least a part of the 3 in 1, or 2 in 1 god?
Answer:   NO!  Not at all.

The Almighty, tells us in
Isaiah 43:11,  I, even I, am Yahuweh (YHWH); and beside me there is no savior.
The word , 'savior,' here is,  'yasha`'  which is  #3467, in the Strong's Concordance.  The Almighty YHWH (Yahuweh), clearly says here that there in NO Savior besides Him, yet there  are others that are called 'Saviors'  throughout the Scriptures, how can this be?

I believe as we look at a couple of passages, where 'others' are referred to as 'Saviors' the answer will become obvious.

2 Kings 13:5     And Yahuweh (YHWH) gave Israel a savior (#3467 'yasha'),  so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians: and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents, as beforetime.
(the 'savior' #3467,  was Joash, see vs 25)

Judg 3:9 And when the children of Israel cried unto Yahuweh, Yahuweh raised up a deliverer (or 'savior,' #3467, 'yasha') to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother.

Isa 19:20     And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto Yahweh of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto Yahweh because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a savior, (#3467, 'yasha') and a great one, and he shall deliver them.

Concerning "our" Lord (Master and Savior, Yahoshua)
Act 13:23 Of this man's seed has God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Savior, Yahoshua (Yahoshua):

1 John 4:14   And we have seen and do testify that the Father (YHWH) sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.

Act 5:31   Him (Yahoshua) has God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

So we see that although there are many that are referred to as Saviors in the Bible,  it is ultimately the Heavenly Father, YHWH, the Only True Elohim, that gave these individuals the authority or power to be called , 'saviors.'  Thus making Him, Yahuweh, the Only True Savior.  For He is the "Only" True God (If this is still unclear to any, please let me know and I can try to explain it in more detail)

To summarize:  just as there are many elohim or gods in the bible, such as the 'angels (Ps 8:5),' the 'judges of Israel' (Ps 82:6),  Moses (Ex 7:1), and chief among those whom the Almighty, Yahuweh, made an elohim, or god, is Yahoshua the Messiah (Heb 1:8). Yahoshua, who was given  all the power and authority in heaven and earth (Matt 8:18), by the Heavenly Father, will rule 'until' all things are put under his feet (Ps 110:1-2).  At which time Yahoshua will turn the Kingdom back over to the Father, that Yahuweh' may be all things to all of Creation.

So hopefully we can see that just as there are others that were made 'elohim' (gods, or mighty ones) so called by the Almighty Himself, so are there those that are called 'saviors.'   But we have to remember that ultimately it is the Heavenly Father Yahuweh who is the "Only True" Savior and Elohim, and he is the one that so designates others as "saviors and elohim."

Act 5:31   Him (Yahoshua) has God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
